Dr. Ken Wong

My journey into dentistry began with a personal struggle and a passion for coaching youth soccer. I realized the profound impact dentistry can have on helping children overcome their dental fears, aligning with my commitment to youth development through sports.

My own experience as a teenager, plagued by self-consciousness due to a prominent gap in my front teeth, drove me to orthodontic treatment. This transformation not only improved my dental health but also boosted my self-confidence.

My mission is to share the joy and confidence that a great smile can bring to our patients. I am dedicated to empowering people of all ages to be comfortable with dentistry, enhancing their overall quality of life. Combining professional expertise with empathy, I am committed to helping individuals discover the power of a healthy, beautiful smile.

Dr. John Yun

I decided to become a dentist at the young age of 13 when I witnessed my father starting to lose his teeth due to gum disease. I saw firsthand the impact it had on his confidence, health, and quality of life. Many years later, I have had the honor of treating my father’s teeth, which has had a positive impact on so many aspects of his life.

Dentistry is the perfect combination of art and science. My appreciation for science and my passion for art have led me to be a dentist who genuinely enjoys what I do every day: creating beautiful smiles and improving the quality of life for others. I take pride in continuing my education in a wide variety of procedures and techniques. This training has given me a deeper understanding of the multiple disciplines of dentistry and has enabled me to offer various treatment options, including cosmetic procedures, implant surgeries, and orthodontics. Over the years, I have been able to provide various treatment options to meet the needs and desires of my patients.

One of the biggest joys in life for me is to see the smiles (and sometimes happy tears) on my patients’ faces once they see their new smile. Then I know I have made at least a small positive change not just in their smiles but in their lives. So, if you would like to truly smile again with confidence, I would be honored to help you get there.

From a young age, I have always loved science and helping others. I also enjoyed arts and crafts and working with my hands. These interests led me to pursue dentistry as a career. It is my privilege to serve our community in my role as a dentist. 

Patients often ask me what I enjoy most about dentistry. My answer is the ability to directly improve someone’s oral health and quality of life. Whether I am treating a young child, a more elderly individual, or someone who is a bit nervous about going to the dentist, I do my best to make a positive impact in each patient’s day. I strive to make my patients feel comfortable and informed every time they are in the dental chair. 

Just as no two teeth are the same, no two patients are the same. I am excited to help you in your unique dental journey!

It is my pleasure to be a part of the wonderful team at Doncrest Dental Centre as a Denturist. I enjoy working with patients and collaborating with our team of dental professionals to provide our patients with healthy and beautiful smiles. I attend numerous continuing education courses to stay up to date on the latest methods, materials, and emerging technologies in dentistry.

I understand that having extensive dental treatment can sometimes be overwhelming. I work closely with our team of dental professionals to provide personalized support to make your treatment both seamless and financially comfortable.
